Kentfield Hillside Pool

Building a lap pool on sloping land is always challenging.
A “bench” was graded into the hillside of the Kentfield property to support the pool’s bottom and the uphill sides. A substantial pool wall was engineered for the downhill side that is hidden from view by the wood deck that surrounds the pool. The plantings of the pool garden integrate with the existing oak trees and rustic nature of the site. The open railings at the deck were selected to preserve the down-valley views.
